Location: Thornhill Golf and Counrty Club
Price: $100 per person

REBATE ELIGIBILITY: For events such as this, individual residents of Ontario  will receive a rebate of the ticket price from the Town of Markham. The rebate is calculated as follows. The expenses of the event are deducted from the ticket price for a net contribution. Example: $100 ticket, less $40 event expense = $60 net contribution. (in this case the rebate could be up to 75% and is estimated to be approximately $45). Rebates are not payable to trade unions or corporations.

SOMETHING STINKS


Markham council has renewed an eight year, 64.5-million garbage collection contract with Miller Waste without getting competitive bids.
Despite a recommendation from town staff to go through a competitive bid process, other companies will not even get a chance to to bid for the contract and possibly reduce the cost.
