REBATE
ELIGIBILITY: For events such as this,
individual residents of Ontario will
receive a rebate of the ticket price from
the Town of Markham. The rebate is
calculated as follows. The expenses of the
event are deducted from the ticket price for
a net contribution. Example: $100 ticket,
less $40 event expense = $60 net
contribution. (in this case the rebate could
be up to 75% and is estimated to be
approximately $45). Rebates are not payable
to trade unions or corporations. |

SOMETHING
STINKS |
|
|
Markham council has
renewed an eight year,
64.5-million garbage
collection contract with
Miller Waste without
getting competitive bids. |
|
Despite a recommendation
from town staff to go
through a competitive bid
process, other
companies will not even get a
chance to to bid for the contract
and possibly reduce the
cost. |
